Your policy can cover the following complications of pregnancy, as long as the due date is more than eight weeks (16 weeks for a multiple birth) after the end date of your trip.
- Toxaemia
- Gestational hypertension
- Pre-eclampsia
- Ectopic pregnancy
- Hydatidiform mole (molar pregnancy)
- Post-partum haemorrhage
- Retained placenta membrane
- Placental abruption
- Hyperemesis gravidarum
- Placenta praevia
- Medically necessary emergency Caesarean sections
- Medically necessary termination of pregnancy
- Premature births more than eight weeks (or 16 weeks in the case of a known multiple pregnancy) before the expected delivery date
- Stillbirths
- Miscarriage
