What is the excess and excess waiver?

The excess is the first part of the claim that you are responsible for and is payable by you – details of the excesses are shown in the Table of Benefits in the policy wording by visiting Avanti Travel Insurance.

Each level of cover could have a payable excess for the below amounts:

• Essentials has an excess of £150
• Classic has an excess of £75
• Deluxe does not have an excess

For an additional fee you can purchase our Additional Cover option called the Excess Waiver, where the excess will then not be payable in the event of a claim. This can be added to both Essentials and Classic policies as well as Non-Cruise and Cruise policies.
